This is a great pattern for an adventurous knitter that loves to learn new skills. More information on techniques can be found here.
The Gracefully Shawl uses (4) 50-gram fingering weight mini-skeins, each skein a different color. For more information on yarn requirements, click here.
The Gracefully Shawl was originally designed for the Tippy Tree Yarns Grace Kelly shawl MKAL of July 2021. Tiffany, the dyer behind Tippy Tree Yarns, asked me to design a shawl that represented Grace Kelly, and gave me the yarn and an inspiration photo.
The photos of Grace showed elegance, and simplicity together. I knew the shawl needed to be stunning, but it wasn't calling for open lacework. Instead, it needed a bit of texture and personality that would create a beautiful accessory for dressing up a simple outfit. At first I wasn't sure if bobbles would fit the style, but they seemed to perfect for the design, and they worked with the style very well!
It's not cold outside, but it's also not hot. Not really jacket weather, but definitely accessory weather.
Whether it's a cool summer evening outside or a crisp fall afternoon business event, the Gracefully is your go-to shawl. It's wonderfully lightweight but just warm enough to take off the little bit of chill. And it's the perfect shawl for dressing up a simple outfit, whether it's a plain black dress, khakis, or a pair of jeans.
This shawl loves to be paired with heels or everyday sneakers. It's super chill but loves to be the star of the show.
And your yarn colors will totally determine it's vibe: fun and funky or delicate and elegant. Maybe you need one of each?
You need a knitting pattern that gets you back in love with knitting again. Nothing complex and frustrating, and nothing mindless. Something fun.
The Gracefully Shawl is just what you're looking for. It's a fun, engaging knit using lots of slipped stitches, which makes the knit fly by!
