I've been working on three collections of patterns this year ~ planning started in January, then there was a lot of browsing yarn colorways and bases that would work for the collection, reaching out to the yarn dyers for yarn support -- and re-starting the yarn browsing again when a dyer wasn't able to collaborate or never responded to my communication (starting in February, but I didn't get my last confirmation until August!), and then of course the actual designing: swatching, knitting, writing the pattern, having it tech edited, and finally test knitting (starting in March and continuing to happen)!
The three collections that I am working on are: My Forever Home, A New Home, and Next Door Neighbors. Over the next few weeks I'm going to share about all three collections individually. Today I shared allllll about the My Forever Home Collection (based on my home state, Montana) over on Patreon, including the symbolism in each yarn, design, stitch, and release date that I chose. I also share photos of the yarn that I used and the finished projects.
