October's Knitting Designs: Two Super Bulky Winter Patterns

Do you remember the three pattern collections that I shared about in my "Knitting in the Works: May 2020" post? If not, here's a brief reminder of what I'm working on:

I'm currently working on three collections that will be released in November and December! The three collections are My Forever Home (which is based on my home state, Montana), A New Home (based on my new home, North Carolina), and Next Door Neighbors (based on "our neighbors" in Canada). Each of these collections aims to highlight special characteristics that I associate with the location, as well as indie dyers local to the area!

This month I designed both patterns for the Canada-based Collection! They will be amazing (super bulky) gift knits!

Cozy in the Mountains Mittens

The Cozy in the Mountains Mittens pattern is a simplistic cabled design using Leo & Roxy Yarn Co Super Bulky (in Monet). The cables, when turned sideways, look like a mountain range and create a beautiful accent for the mitten. The pattern is written for four adult sizes.

Windy Shores Hat

The Windy Shores Hat pattern is a fun and simplistic design using a wave texture repeat inspired by the splashes of the waves along the ocean. It is a quick, fun, and engaging knit. The design used Flock Fibre Studio Super Bulky yarn (in the Blueberry Girl colorway). It includes five sizes, ranging from child to large adult, and instructions to make a messy bun hat version or a plain hat version.

Are you excited to work some quick super bulky gift knits? Which is your favorite from these projects?
