    Endless Woods Cowl

The Endless Woods Cowl is one of four knitting patterns in the “A New Home” Collection, a collection of fingering weight patterns inspired by my new home: North Carolina.

10% of pattern sale profits Nov 21 - Dec 21, 2020 will go to NC Coalition to End Homelessness to help the homeless in North Carolina.

Because this pattern includes two PDF files, you will receive a ZIP file that includes both documents. You will need to unzip the file to open the documents. Here are the instructions to unzip the file on your Microsoft, Mac, and iPhone or iPad device.

    ABOUT THE PATTERN

Fun, cozy, and your new favorite thing to wear. Endless Woods Cowl is a warm, cozy cowl perfect for cold winter days. It features cables that represent the roots supporting the endless woods and slipped cross stitches that represent the beautiful trees within the woods. The pattern even includes four alternate tree motifs, so your woods can host a variety of trees!

The Endless Woods Cowl includes three length options and three circumference options, making for a total of nine size options. It is worked with fingering weight held double with mohair (or, if you’d rather, just use DK weight), creating a fun and cozy knit.

This pattern is worked bottom up. Learn more about the design inspiration, knitting experience, and wearing experience here.

The pattern includes two separate PDF files: one with the written instructions and one with the charted instructions.

    SIZES

    Small (Medium, Large)
    Bottom Circumference: 21.5 (28, 34) in / 54.5 (71, 86.5) cm
    Top Circumference: 18.5 (24.5, 31) in / 47 (62, 79) cm

    Short (Medium, Tall)
    Length: 14.5 (21, 27.5) in / 37 (53.5, 70) cm

When choosing the size you wish to knit, please be aware of the amount of ease in your finished object. The fabric is extremely stretchy, but some sizes might have a circumference smaller than your head. You can view the projects tab of this pattern to see how each size fits. If you choose to knit the small size, it is especially important that you don’t knit tighter than the gauge in the pattern.
