Windy Shores Hat

Super cozy and quick to knit, the Windy Shores Hat makes for a wonderful gift knit. The pattern includes child through large adult sizes and the option to make a messy bun version instead. Its wave texture makes it a fun, engaging knit.

This design was inspired by the cold, windy coast lines of Canada, from the Atlantic to the Pacific, and even the Arctic, Ocean. The textured used in the pattern creates a wave texture to represent the waves crashing along the cold shores.

Windy Shores Hat is one of two super bulky weight knitting patterns in the Next Door Neighbors Collection, inspired by the Canadian landscape.

The techniques used within the hat are simplistic, and the texture is fun and engaging to knit. The pattern includes easy-to-memorize repeats that are rhythmic and enjoyable. This is a great pattern if you're looking to knit something a step up from garter or stockinette, but you don't want to have to concentrate a lot on your knitting.
